About This Training

Developed by DementiaTrainers and co-produced with EDUCATE, this highly interactive training day brings lived experience to the centre of learning.

The day is facilitated by Fran Hamilton, Dementia Specialist Occupational Therapist, Consultant and Trainer, and co-delivered with people living with dementia themselves.

Participants consistently describe the experience as powerful, honest and practice-changing.

This is not a traditional dementia awareness session.
It is reflective, practical, and designed to meaningfully shape everyday practice.

Time: 9.15am – 4.45pm
Venue: Bowes House Care Home, Battle Road, Hailsham, BN27 1DU
Group size: Maximum 12 participants
Format: Open group (mixed providers welcome)

Cost: £100 per participant
Discount: 25% off additional delegates from the same organisation

  • 15-30 days before: 50% refund

  • Less than 15 days before the course: non-refundable (place may be transferred to a colleague)
